prime Summer

Prime Foundation Montessori’s Summer Enrichment Program, Prime Explorers, features summer enrichment camps for both Primary and Elementary ages! Both enrichment camps are held on Prime Foundation’s location with field trips scheduled throughout the summer.

The majority of our enrichment camp staff are Prime Foundation Montessori teachers and staff members during the school year. Their collective experience and alignment with Prime Foundation Montessori's values provide a unique enrichment camp experience that is captivating, challenging and fun!

PRIME EXPLORERS

  • PRIMARY

Prime Foundation Montessori’s Primary Enrichment Summer Program provides explorers with exciting and enriching daily offerings and work cycles. Highlighted by weekly themes such as “Under the Sea” and “Outer Space”, this camp brings the world to all explorers!

Movement, nature study, needlework, embroidery and sewing, cooking, etiquette and decorum, food and nutrition and much more are explored when the children are on campus.

Also, Art such as Printmaking Studio! The children explore a different technique for making prints with a wide variety of materials.

Printmaking is a process based art form that is as much fun to make as it is to see the magical results. At the end children take home a personal portfolio of prints.

Prime Explorers also have the opportunity to explore the DMV area with a field trip every week accompanying our themes.

We also celebrate a day in the week with one of our explorer-favorite activities: Water Day!

  • Elementary

Prime Foundation Montessori’s Elementary Enrichment Summer Program blends an exciting mix of on-campus activities with field trips throughout the DMV area!

On-campus activities include baking, fitness, the arts, life skills, financial literacy, health and safety, food and nutrition, nature study and STEM-related challenges!

Field trips take place twice per week and include activities such as rock climbing, exploring museums, zoos, roller skating or ice rinks!

Prime Explorers also join our specialist for mental mathematics, originating from Japan! This is a fun and sensorial program that helps children to develop and enhance both the right and left-brain hemispheres while strengthening various skills and abilities such as photographic memory, attention and concentration, imagination and visualization!

Each number is represented by a bead or combination of beads. Explorers initially learn to use the beads to perform math operations and slowly graduate to manipulate the beads mentally!
