A school is much more than what you see, it’s really the experiences of its students, families and staff that makes a great school. Your experience at prime foundation montessori is what really counts.

I have to put this out here for anyone still considering bringing their child to Prime Foundation Montessori. I brought my 4-year-old son to Prime not saying a word. He couldn’t speak! He just grunts sometimes and stays quiet. I and my wife were extremely worried about this, especially after he had already attended one of the large Montessori schools in the area with no improvement and referrals for special education, so we thought to try another school first. Months later, at Prime Foundation Montessori, he is speaking sentences of 4 words or more and can now read short words like van, pin, cup, and log! Honestly, I can’t believe it myself! I am completely overwhelmed with so much joy! My wife cries all the time, just talking about this with anyone! We are beyond grateful for all the work you put in and your recommendations for speech therapy. Saying thank you to Ms. Osato can never be enough! You have a wonderful and rare gift with children, Ms. Osato. Thank you.

I had an outstanding experience with my son at PFM. From the dedicated teachers to the vibrant classrooms, everything contributed to a nurturing learning environment. Prime Foundation offers quality education, a supportive community, efficient and effective facilities and resources, an inclusive environment, and above all, an awesome parent-teacher partnership to ensure the all-round development of its students. I would recommend this school over and over again!”

Ms. Osato is a highly qualified, nurturing and passionate teacher. My daughter is only 2.5 years old but is way ahead for her age!!”

My youngest daughter attended Prime Foundation from 17 months through 3 years old. It was truly one of the best decisions I could have made for our family. I only wish we knew of Ms. Osato for my older son.

We found Ms. Osato when her school was small and being run out of her home. It was the cleanest and most beautiful Montessori classroom I had ever seen. When we toured, I immediately felt comfortable with her safe and caring nature. Over the years we spent sending our daughter to school there, it was more like an extension of our family.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, Ms. Osato spared no expense to ensure the children could continue their education, first virtually (she hand-delivered cleaned and sanitized Montessori materials every weekend to our front door!) and then in a safe, separated, and extremely clean in-person environment. My daughter NEVER got sick during the pandemic.

And this is not to mention the level of education that my daughter received. She could explain gravity at 2-years old and was doing advanced math equations. When we decided to move for my job in 2021, we were the saddest to leave Ms. Osato, but I truly believe that the foundation my daughter received at her school instilled a deep appreciation for learning, gave her grit, and talent. She is now in the gifted and talented program in her school!

Ms. Osato and all her staff truly invest in every child they teach. They have the gift for teaching young minds and know how to individually support young learners. If you have the opportunity, do not hesitate to send your children here.

My daughter spent four years at Prime Foundation Montessori, where she received an excellent educational foundation. We are highly satisfied with both the curriculum and teaching approach.”

Our son attended Prime Foundation Montessori (Prime) for three school years, and we think that we made an excellent education decision. I remember the first phone call I made to the school and the very pleasant conversation with the Director of Prime, Ms. Osato. After speaking to a few private schools in the area, my wife and I quickly felt that Prime was the right one for our boy, not only because of its very rich program but also because of its amazing staff and the very conducive environment that boosts the child’s learning experience. The small-size class and low student-teacher ratio really allow the child to have more than sufficient attention from the teacher, facilitating the quick development of the child.

Our son had previously attended preschool at a different Montessori school, so we can compare Prime with others. The caliber and dedication of Prime's staff, under the direction of Ms. Osato, is really what sets it apart from previous Montessori schools and other institutions. Our son took no time to settle in and thrive. By the time he completed second grade, he was solving math problems with speed and accuracy, mentally, without using any aids. He is also doing great in other subjects.

Our second child is currently still attending Prime Foundation Montessori. Although we had a choice to move him to a public elementary school, we decided to leave him at Prime. This speaks volumes about the quality of Prime Foundation Montessori, particularly given that the elementary school in our neighborhood is one of the best public schools in Maryland.

As expected, our decision is paying off big time, as our boy is quite advanced in different subjects, and he will stay at Prime Foundation Montessori Elementary next school year. Both kids love Prime and the staff and always look forward to going to school. We are very grateful to Prime Foundation Montessori and the amazing Ms. Osato, and we highly recommend Prime Foundation Montessori to parents considering investing in the future of their children.”

"My daughter, Lilian, started Prime Foundation Montessori when she was 2 years old until she was 5. She was so advanced in her academics upon graduating from Prime that she had to be placed in the second grade at 6 years old instead of the first grade. Lilian is now in the gifted and talented program at MCPS! To say I am grateful to Prime Foundation Montessori is putting it mildly."

“My son did preschool for 2 years at PFM. He made good progress in Maths and English. Ms. Osato is a good teacher, we liked her teaching style and school curriculum.”

I love Prime Foundation Montessori. Mrs Osato and her team have been amazing. Our son is getting quality education, is well taken care of, and is treated like family.”

- Esosa Osahon.

Miss Osato is a great teacher and a lovely person. Prime foundation is a great place for children, safe environment, clean, organized and fun. The kids enjoy going there and every day they learn new skills.”

-Larissa Duarte.

Osato is compassionate, witty, knowledgeable, and HIGHLY intelligent!!! Her credentials say it all. Your kids are in great hands at Prime Foundation Montessori!”

- Dr. AnnMaureen Nwabuzor.

Prime Foundation Montessori is a great school, it is a sound educational foundation for your child. The staff is professional and quite empathetic. Their curriculum is exceptional. All three of my children went through Prime, and I’d do it all over again.”

“Our experience with PFM started in 2020 when my oldest son just turned 3, and now our youngest attends. From our initial tour to today, we have loved being a part of this community. In total, we have been there for almost 4 years, and during that time, there have been so many smiles.

Some of our highlights from our years at PFM -
1 - The teachers! I can't say enough about how much we love all the teachers at PFM. They educate, nurture, and love each of their students. They are always available to answer questions or give your child a hug or high five.
2 - Special Events! To name a few...Spirit Week (Dress Up Week), Montessori Parent Night, PFM Biome Fashion Show, PFM School Parade of Nations, Grandparents & Special Person’s Day, International Cuisine Potluck, Holiday performances, Water Play, and Graduation. Each event is full of fun, crafts, sometimes delicious food, and community.
3 - Field Trips! Throughout the year the school offers on and off-campus field trips. A few of our favorites have been visiting Elioak Farms, Baltimore Aquarium, and the on-campus visit from local firemen. PFM really brings variety to their field trips, and I appreciate that.
4 - Lunch! Breakfast and snacks are also fantastic, but both of my boys really loved lunchtime. The children (regardless of age) are given real plates and utensils, and they serve themselves family style. They are also given milk in real glasses and always have access to fresh water. I also love that before/after all meals, each child must wash their hands.
5 – PFM Website & Great Parent Communication! Not only is their website a great resource, but parents can also sign their children in/out of school. Also, those amazing teachers I told you about especially fabulous Ms. Osato, is able to send families pictures and messages often. I personally love that on days my son is having a rough time (usually missing mommy), his teacher keeps me updated on how he's doing.
6 - Montessori jobs! Both of my sons have really loved this part of PFM. Each job teaches them something different, even just how to start/complete a task, but it also has grown their confidence.

I highly recommend PFM, and if you're looking for a great preschool or school where your child will have fun, feel loved, and thrive..search no further!”

- Dr. Philo U. Irese.

What a blessing PFM has been for myself and my child. When searching for a safe, nurturing place for my 3 year old daughter to attend preschool I was surprised at how unimpressed I was with most of what I saw. That is, until I came to Ms. Osato’s classroom at Prime Foundation Montessori.

Intuitively, I knew I wanted a place that celebrated my child as an individual while guiding her in a positive direction toward her development. A place that took into consideration the whole child; body, mind and spirit.

I’ve found over the course of the last few months that my daughter is on a path of lifelong learning in large part because of the encouragement she receives from her teacher, Ms. Osato at PFM. She has the confidence to try new things on her own and the patience to see them through. She displays compassion, and an earnest desire to help other children because peer education is such an important part of the PFM Montessori philosophy.

Before she went to PFM she could barely sit for a few minutes but in a few months at PFM, she can sit for 30 minutes at a stretch to do anything I need her to do at home. I see that her concentration level has drastically improved. She also displays proper etiquette and manners at home and when we go out to restaurants since she started attending PFM. She has also become so orderly I cannot believe it, my baby. She now knows addition, and subtraction and has already started working on the decimal system. She knows animals and the names of their young, vertebrates and invertebrates, the parts of a grasshopper, parts of a snail, the life cycle of a frog, and the life cycle of a butterfly, You need to hear her say "PUPA"! Truth is I can go on and on telling you how much she has learned at PFM in just a couple of months.

Ms. Osato's teaching instruction method is truly phenomenal. She makes it all seem so easy. You need to see their very beautiful classroom and mostly the instructional materials for yourself. Finding PFM is like finding an invaluable gemstone you have been searching for for ages! The best part is you see pictures and videos of your child constantly and you get weekly reports on how your child is progressing along the PFM curriculum.

PFM is such a wonderful place to send your children if you want them to develop a true sense of self. It is a place where they will be exposed to Math, Science, Language, Cultural Studies, Practical Life, and the Arts in such interesting and appealing ways that they won’t even realize they are learning. It is a place that cultivates community and celebrates the interconnectedness of it all.

For me, Prime Foundation Montessori has been such a blessing and I gladly share a good word whenever I can. ”

- Dr. Jacinta Jesusivie

This review is much overdue as my first son graduated from Prime Foundation Montessori in the Summer of 2018 and my second son just started a few years ago in 2021. Looking for a good school that fits your child’s and family's needs is not easy. There are so many reasons why we love Prime, but I will only list my top few.

Their mixed-age Montessori program. We love that the program not only focuses on academics but also practical life skills. Students can progress at their own speed and having older students in the class definitely helps the younger ones to excel. When my sons started preschool, they barely knew how to talk, within a month, they were speaking in sentences. There is a time set aside for academics and for practicing life skills. It still amazes me when my boys want to help sweep up their crumbs or help put away their plates after dinner.

Prime Foundation Montessori teaches French to their students. Although my husband and I are bilingual, English is the common language at home. So, it was very important for us that our children learn a second language as well. We love that they come home singing and counting in French. I was so proud when my older son came home from school with a book he made and read out loud in French from cover to cover.

The teachers at Prime are patient, kind, nurturing, and very passionate about their teaching, especially Ms. Osato – I have to say wow! What a talented teacher. When my older son first started, I had tons of concerns and questions. Concerns about his potty training, his picky eating habits, and how he is doing academically. The teachers are so understanding, they take the time to answer all my questions and update me on a regular basis. My sons talk about their teachers all the time at home, so I know that they are in great hands at school. My older son still comes back to show off his accomplishments and share the good news with his preschool teacher. It was an easy decision to send our second son to Prime. I just drop him off and as I'm running out the door, they would chase me down to update me on his progress. I love that! We can't thank our teachers, and especially Ms. Osato, enough for their passion for teaching and creating a safe environment for our children.”

“Ms. Osato is the best teacher I have ever met! To say she’s amazing is putting it mildly! My son, Tre, is now literally a genius! He went from knowing just 1 to 10 to knowing 1- thousands and not just reciting but understanding the quantities and symbols as Ms. Osato would always say. Tre now knows how to carry out the four operations, not just the basic but also exchanging. He can now work with Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division at 5 years old! He clearly understands place value and the dynamics of carrying over and exchanging in all four mathematical operations. He understands the decimal system almost perfectly, I wish I could say perfectly! Tre looks forward to seeing his teacher, Ms. Osato, and coming to his classroom every day! He loves his teacher! Saying thank you to you, Ms. Osato can never be enough. I brought you a timid and academically struggling 4 year old boy, who didn’t like math. You gave me a bright, smart, intelligent 5 years old son. You made him a mathematics genius in one school year! Tre is now so in love with Math! I am so blessed! Thank you so so much Ms. Osato. I am overwhelmed with so much joy.”

Amelia is 5 years old! In just one year with Prime Foundation Montessori, she can symbolize grammar sentences. This by the way, is first grade work! She can tell you what a noun, verb, adverb, article, adjective, preposition, conjunction, pronoun and interjection is, and she can pronounce each one properly too! I even learnt grammar from Amelia, as she enjoys teaching me what she had learned at home. She can define each one and give you vivid and numerous examples, clearly understanding each aspect and not memorizing. I am so amazed at how bright and grammatically articulate and outspoken my Amelia has become. I can’t believe this is the same daughter I brought to Prime Foundation Montessori at the beginning of the school year! Wow!

Ms. Osato’s method of teaching and instruction is truly outstanding. She is also very warm, easily forms trusting relationships with children that I see the children just love her! She is patient and has a kind demeanor. I must say, she stands out as an exemplary teacher showing care, support and love to every child in her care. Ms. Osato is an excellent teacher and I cannot say enough laudatory remarks about her. She is awesomeness and amazing all put together. Amelia barely knew her letters A-Z when I brought her to Prime Foundation Montessori. Now, she doesn’t only know all her letters and sounds, she is also reading fluently as well as knows all aspects of grammar. And, did I mention Amelia can work successfully with Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division, exchanging as needed; She knew 1 to 10 recitations when I brought her to Prime Foundation Montessori at the beginning of the school year! I am beyond grateful to Prime Foundation Montessori. Amelia loves to go to school every day. I wish I had better words to express my gratitude to Prime Foundation Montessori. Thank you, Ms. Osato. You are indeed a rare gem!

“What a blessing you have been for myself and my child. When searching for a safe, nurturing place for my child to attend while I was at work I was surprised at how unimpressed I was with most of what I saw. That is, until I came to Ms. Osato’s classroom. Intuitively, I knew I wanted a place that celebrated my child as an individual while guiding him in a positive direction toward his development. A place that took into consideration the whole child; body, mind, and spirit. So many places I toured were trying to “cookie cutter” the kids into their ideal of “right.” That is, again, until I came to your classroom, Ms. Osato. I’ve found over the course of the last year that my son is on a path of lifelong learning, in large part because of the encouragement he received from his teacher, Ms. Osato. He has the confidence to try new things on his own and the patience to see them through. “We are absolutely in LOVE with Ms. Osato!!!!! When our son was three and a half we started our search for the “perfect school” after many many visits to different places, we found your classroom. Our experience with Prime Foundation Montessori has been beyond wonderful. We feel as if we are family, yet our son is learning academically as well as getting a whole education, meaning life principles such as “community”, and respect for others. He is growing as an individual…. not just learning. Thank you for your primary curriculum and we look forward to many more years, and our three sons attending Prime Foundation Montessori soon!”

“I made the decision to change my son from schools a year and a half ago. It was recommended by an Occupational Therapist since my son was having some difficulties with movement, anxiety and attention at his previous school. After attending the primary program for only 2 months, my son was already a different boy. The Montessori Environment has helped him with his desire to move around the classroom and work in a calm, peaceful manner. It has helped to build his attention span with activities and lessons, but most importantly it has helped him learn social skills and discipline. I never thought I would hear him ask: “Mommy I want to go to school, when is Monday coming up?” He has built a strong community relationship with his peers and teacher, Ms. Osato and he truly enjoys the freedom of choosing the lessons he will work with as he progresses with the classroom material. I specially have appreciated working side by side with his teacher, Ms. Osato to help learn alternatives in coping with my son’s learning difficulties. I have also enjoyed working with Ms. Osato in learning more about the Montessori philosophy and how I, as a parent, can help my son reach his highest potential by following the same approach and philosophy at home.”

- Cecilia Brown

“Thank you so much for all the love and care you have given to our Miles. You made your prepared environment Miles’ second home. We brought you a shy quiet two-year-old and you gave us a confident, smart, and happy four year old. Thank you is not enough. Love”

- Dave, Daniel & Miles Avila

“Your classroom environment has been a great place to grow, not only for my child, but also for me, as a parent and as a member of your community. Prime has provided me with great opportunities to learn about the Montessori philosophy and also to reexamine my own approach to parenting. It has been a catalyst in the great discoveries my son has made, not only academically but socially, since starting with Prime Foundation Montessori. Ms. Osato has always been available and willing to provide guidance on how to best assist my son with his learning experience. For example, when the time came for him to transition from his old school to his new classroom environment, he had a difficult time adjusting to the change. It was comforting to see Ms. Osato encouraging him, without pressure, as he transitioned into his new class environment.

Time and time again, Ms. Osato explained some of the dynamics that may have been taking place, reiterating the importance of giving our son the time he needed to accept the change, while keeping in mind an alternate plan in the event that he simply was not ready for the change. It was very reassuring to hear from other parents in my son’s class and find out about their experience with Ms. Osato and the transitioning of their own children.

In the end, my son made a successful transition to his new classroom, and developed new friendships, love and great appreciation for his new teacher, Ms. Osato. He always reminisces and talks about the days past he spent in his new classroom with his new friends and Ms. Osato and looks forward with excitement to experiencing some of what is yet to come. Thanks again!”

“Our two daughters four and two years old, are at Prime Foundation Montessori. We cannot be happier with the holistic growth that we see in our children, but over all, they really love to go to Prime Foundation Montessori every single day. You can easily see how the teacher, Ms. Osato, really love and care about the kids and her concern to provide a solid foundation for their future, teaching the necessary aspects to be complete and happy human beings. Continuous efforts to communicate and educate parents about Montessori philosophy really help us to understand and do our part at home. By changing very simple things, we complement our children's education and improve our relationships. Thanks to especially Ms. Osato, we cannot be happier to be part of the Prime community.”

“Watching my little boy walk up towards the car with his lunch bag on hand all by himself was the moment I realized how much of an impact PFM has had in my son’s life. I love the sense of independence that Ms. Osato bestows on our children. In so many different little ways, I have seen growth, maturity, and creativity in my little 2-year-old angel. That little personality is blooming, and Prime Foundation Montessori is really encouraging it; For this, I will be eternally grateful to Ms. Osato. Nicolas Gabriel Bolano, Age 2″

“A year ago, we made the decision to send our 2 1/2-year-old son to your classroom because you had the part-time schedule that we were looking for. At that time, we were open-minded but weren’t really sure about the Montessori philosophy and if we could “live it” at home, but we thought we’d give it a try. One year later, we are so happy to have made the decision last year to bring our son to you. Our now 3 1/2 -year-old son is thriving in the Montessori environment. He is so engaged, stimulated, and aware of his independence! He will be attending camp full-time this summer at Prime Foundation Montessori, and he loves Ms. Osato. We are looking forward to starting in Prime Foundation Montessori in July.”

- Shermia Catozzo

“Prime Foundation Montessori has been nothing short of an amazing and life-changing experience for my daughter Paris and me. We came down to Maryland while I completed my Master’s degree, leaving all of our family and friends behind in Michigan, our home. Prime Foundation Montessori became our new family, embracing us and turning my little girl into a flowering young lady. Thank you Ms. Osato, for everything you are giving us. We will never forget you!”

- Lola Micheal

“Thank you so much for welcoming our family into your preschool program. Cameron has been so happy here; I can feel and see that he feels comfortable, nurtured, and loved. I have seen him grow in so many ways and we are so pleased. Prime Foundation is such a warm and loving environment and you should feel proud of your school.”

- Cindy, John and Cameron Sumpter

“Thank You for all the help you have been to us. We feel Anthony is right where he needs to be. The stability Prime’s classroom provides has been essential during the arrival of our baby boy, Nathaniel. It is clear to me that Prime’s interest is the well-being of all its students. We feel lucky to be part of it.”
