HOW WE SUPPORT

  • CLASSROOM SUPPORT

Classroom parents can lighten their hard-working teacher’s load with tasks such as printing, preparing materials for lessons, organizing resources, and other administrative duties. Also, it is up to the classroom parent to collect, choose, and deliver gifts to their deserving teachers during teacher appreciation week and/or at the end of the school year.

  • SCHOOL EVENTS

Classroom parents assist with events. They help the teacher and the school in relaying essential announcements, reminders, and information about events, activities, and volunteer opportunities to parents that keeps the classroom wheels turning. This may include coordinating and ordering food, drinks, services, and supplies.

  • CLASSROOM SOCIALS

Those gingerbread houses and Valentine’s Day goody bags that come home with your child? Most likely the handiwork of classroom parents! Classroom parents assist the teacher in organizing these fun classroom socials or parties. This may include planning games and activities.

in a nutshell: the liason

Classroom parents are the liaison between the teacher and the parents of the students. The most important of all classroom parent duties is communication. They will often assist in announcements and initiatives. Successful communication between these groups enhances the classroom experience for both students and parents by fostering an engaged learning environment.

Classroom parents are a great resource for any questions you may have about things specific to your child's class. They will also be in touch with you throughout the year to share information about upcoming class-wide and/or school-wide events, how you can get involved, things you won't want to miss, etc. Be on the lookout for communications regarding class socials and parties.
